The Latest (A Bulletted List)

  • I'm in Portland, Oregon.
  • (For semi-permanently).
  • I'm working for The Oregon Bus Project.  I'm a "PolitiCorps Field Organizer" -- I pretty much help run their incredible summer leadership program.
  • I work beastly hours and do good work for very little pay.
  • I'll probably still be working here in September.
  • Though, who knows?
  • I'm about to sign my first-ever lease.  The house is gorgeous, the landlord fabulous, the neighborhood great, and my roommates stellar.  I'm excited, to say the least.
  • I'm oh-so-happy.

And back to Oregon I go...

The Oregon Bus Project has let mtay e know that I have a job with them as soon as I'm able to come up. How excited am I to be back in Oregon with a bunch of exciting young progressives? SO EXCITED.

This whole having a job thing really puts a damper on my academic aspirations. Honestly, I just want to snuggle up in my comfy bed and stay there until it's time to move to Portland, or at least until Senior Week (when most of the kids in my class head over to San Diego to drink and make bad decisions and have a ball). I'm so close to the end of my college career it's shocking, but I'm in statis until I finish this gosh darn thesis.
